Time Trial mode screenshots

Hi.

These new screenshots show the time trial mode interface. Originaly I had used a numeric display for the lap times but, although it gave more accurate readings, I think that a clock suits the game era much better.
It also makes easier look at the progress along the track. The previous display only did show the Best and Last lap times without any indication of the current lap timing.
In the screenshots you can see three needles in the clock. The white one displays the current lap timing and moves while racing.
The black needle shows the last lap timing and the orange shows your best time ever.
Also another big detail in these screenshots is the pilot. The driver has gone in for all cars now.
The driver reacts to the player steering and adds a lot of action to the scene. I was quite happy when I first saw it moving.

Game screenshots revealed

Hi.

After a hard week dealing with the last code issues I have decided it is time to release some screens from the game.

In this batch you can see the main menu screen.
You can also see the Mark1 car racing in one of the tracks.

I will add new updates with new screenshots during this week.

Only 7 days to submission left.

3D screens of the Mk2

You will need the red and blue glasses to view these images and see the model in full 3D
For the best result, move away from the screen until you feel comfortable. Stay about four hands away from the screen.

New Liveries 2

German "Falkenstein DRT" Team

French "Vanxainx-Breuillet"

Japanese "Takamatsu"
Here are three new liveries.

New Liveries

Italian "Battaglia" Livery

British "Bristol-Hereford GP" Livery
This is the first batch of liveries coming right from the factory floor of these two teams.
The colour schemes are based on historic teams from those countries although I took some liberties to adapt them.
The teams name and the car model name are still WIP
Tomorrow I will post other three liveries as soon as the remainig teams comfirm officially their colour schemes for next season.

Car screenshots

As I have already shown one of the cars in the icon, I thought I would show the whole model in all its glory.

First Icon

The first icon has just been born. It has been designed with the game style, simplicity and fast action in mind.
It tries to be simple in detail while describing the age where the action takes place and the furious racing machines of the date.
This design might change in the future but is a good starting point

Old Screenshots

Hi.

Since I started this blog yesterday I have been thinking about what kind of content should I add at this point without giving too much away. (I want to keep the mistery for a bit) So I have been digging the old archives from when I started the project and found these early prototypes and mockups.

First Post

Hi everyone.

This is the first post of this blog for the upcoming iPhone game "Classic GP".

In the next days I will be posting screenshots and details of the game. First I will have to learn how to make this blog and make it pretty. I have spent too much time making the game and learning the ShiVa engine coding language so I haven't really had time to look into the game's website.
